Born in Pola, Croatia, Goran Parlov graduated from Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. He left his country during the Civil War and got a job with Berardi and Milazzo's Parker Publishing in Italy. He made his debut in Ken Parker Magazine with illustrations as well as episodes of the 'Ken Parker' series. Parlov began his association with Bonelli publishers in 1993, where he has been a staff artist on series like 'Nick Raider' and 'Magico Vento' until 1999.
In the early 2000s he began working for the American market. He drew 'Outlaw Nation' with Jamie Delano (2001-2002) and 'Y: The Last Man' with Brian K. Vaughn (2004) for DC/Vertigo. He has since worked mainly for Marvel on titles like 'Black Widow' (2004-05), 'The Punisher' (2006-08), 'Punisher MAX Presents: Barracuda' (2007), 'The Punisher: Frank Castle' (2009), 'Fury MAX' (2012) and Punisher: The Platoon (2017). After living and working in Milan for almost a decade, Parlov moved back to Zagreb.
